The MONTE CARLO Technique

• We call MC Technique (or Method) any technique that uses random numbers to solve a problem

• Represent the solution of a problem as a parameter of a hypothetical population and use a sequence of random numbers to build a sample of the population from which statistical estimations of the parameter can be obtained
