We are very pleased to announce that, as part of the world-wide commemorations of the centennial year of Einstein's Annus Mirabilis, the international conference 100 years of relativity will be held on August 22-24 in São Paulo, Brazil, to highlight Einstein's most cherished legacy: the modern theories of Relativity and Cosmology.

Never has this legacy been so evident as in recent years, with dramatic new observations firing up the curiosity not only of researchers, but of society as a whole.

The goals of this conference are not only to give an opportunity for high-level scientific discussions and the presentation of new results, but also to call the attention of a wider audience to the dramatic new developments in our current understanding the Universe. Hence, besides the plenary and parallel sessions during morning and afternoons, public lectures will be held on the evenings of Aug. 22-24.

The main thrust of the conference is classical and quantum aspects of Gravitation and Cosmology - theoretical and experimental. A non-exhaustive list includes black holes, quantum and semi-classical gravity, exact solutions of GR, gravity waves, cosmic microwave background, weak/strong lensing, gamma-ray bursts, dark matter and dark energy.

The conference will be held in MASP (Sao Paulo Art Museum), an architectural landmark in the cultural and financial center of Sao Paulo, with a dazzling choice of gastronomic, cultural and entertainment opportunities nearby. Some parallel sessions will be held at IFT (Theoretical Physics Institute), which can be reached from MASP by a 10min footwalk.

We invite everyone to participate in this Conference.
