Cosmology @ USP/Physics

The Cosmology group has three full-time professors (E. Abdalla, R. Abramo and M. Lima), 6 post-docs and approximately 20 graduate students. We are also heavily committed to mentoring undergraduate students.

The research interests of the group range from theoretical cosmology (inflation, dark energy, modified gravity, interactions in the dark sector) to more observational cosmology (galaxy surveys, 21cm maps of neutral H, BAOs, clusters, lensing, supernovas).

Members of our team are involved in several international collaborations: BINGO, the Dark Energy Survey, Subaru's Prime Focus Spectrograph (PFS), and J-PAS/J-PLUS/S-PLUS. In the future, we look forward to the Giant Magellan Telescope, the european satellite Euclid, as well as the LSST.
