In this coloquium we discuss the problem of Entropy of Black Holes. We first discuss some necessary ingredients to understand the problem: thermodynamics of black holes, extremality, near-horizon geometry. In the second part we discuss some of the recent attempts in providing a microscopic description of the entropy of extremal black holes: conformal field theories, central charge, Cardy's formula. We finally discuss the recently proposed duality of spinning (Kerr) black holes. The idea of this coloquium is to be informative rather than technical.
