Cosmic Microwave Anisotropies: current status and prospects (CANCELLED)
A survey is made of the present observational status on cosmological parameters from microwave background anisotropies. I will show that current data, while fully confirming the predictions of the standard cosmological model based on dark matter and dark energy, are also providing interesting indications for deviations for it. The results from the Planck satellite experiment, expected in January 2013, will clarify these issues. In particular Planck will provide definitive answers on the possible existence of a sterile neutrino, new constraints on variation of fundamental constants, new tests for modified gravity scenarios and primordial inflation.
